Compared to M&M it's not bad, but compared to DC... I did calculate this before going from 0 on each program.
5 Z RT OTP-FRA-HKG get you:
UA: 98930 EQM & 108770 RDM - and OTP-FRA is quite long, other closer cities would earn less.
MM: 152980 M&M incl exec. bonus from the first flight.
DC would earn 210k (or 224k if you sneak in another 1300miles to get to Gold before the 3rd trip). If one gets a status match from say.... FB, you're earning 4.25x for Z fares (280k for the 5 RT)

200k DC miles go a long way in my miles + cash book. I do think UA MP is great if for earning on many discount Y fares. Rather OT, sorry!
