I've read some of the threads (nothing recent with respect to Plat benefits at this location) but I can't seem to find the answer. I've read many reviews on tripadvisor also, but can't seem to find any reports from those that were MR members (if they were, they didn't mention it).

I want something pretty special so I'm thinking the Ritz. We've been to Maui a few times so if we go, I really want it to be an experience and the Ritz appears to fit that bill.

I understand the benefits are by a property basis on if they even acknowledge status and if they do, to what degree.

It does appear that there is a club level....I know the difference. We paid $75 a day access to the club at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa in Gold Coast, Australia and it was worth every penny.

So does anyone have any recent information about bennies here? I see various options where you pay $250 a night PLUS a gazillion points, so I'm guessing if you don't go along with the cash option (in addition to the points), fat chance of an ocean view, huh? Maybe that is the only way to get an ocean view (pay up + points).

Any acknowledgment of Plat status in general..i.e., cont breakfast if you don't pay for club level?

Looking at late Oct, early Nov. Said we'd probably never return to Hawaii....but I suppose a week or so at the Ritz could be an exception to the rule. Unless we would get view of parking lot!
