I'm still trying to understand how the ski baggage rules work. They explicitly say the +1 ski bagge rule doesn't apply on north america routes, but does this mean one of my allowed bags is the ski bag (which sounds fine, but why not everywhere?), or that even as e.g. a HON in F I'd have to pay extra for ski luggage just on those few routes, which sounds like a pretty bad idea.

In general that north america special casing for sports lugge sounds weird, why would they do that? Is is the UA/AC joint venture, and if so why wasn't it applied earlier?
