Besides it can say this isn't forgery, and have no definition of fraud.
HSBC is a multi-national company, so they could be brought to justice in a number of different places, though I agree their China bosses might be able to shield themselves against criminal charges (you don't rise to the boss level in China without solid connections).
Thanks for the tip. The thing is, the computer I'm using this week (my favorite computers are out of commission because I lent my charger to a friend who has the flu) is running on Chinese Windows and lacks good software, though I'm sure it has "Paint". Basically, I don't fancy playing around with my receipt on this computer.
