Well said.

As long as said FTer behaves, he/she will retain the ability to view, post... in that forum. There are 2 exceptions. The "Coupon Connection" and the "OMNI/OMNI PR" forums have entry requirements. No other public forums have entry requirements.
The entry requirements for the 2 (or 3 if you count OMNI and OMNI/PR as 2 separate forums) are based on both history in FT (180 days as a member, minimum) and posting history (180 posts, minimum).
No other public forums on FT have any entry requirements.

As for whether they're a good idea...the entry requirements, each has his/her own opinion.
As a member for more than 180 days with more than 180 posts, they don't apply to me. Honestly, it's really a non-issue for me anyways. I have yet to post in CC, and I think I viewed it just 1 or 2 times. I fly, but don't have any coupons/vouchers of any real value to others that I don't want myself anyways!
As for OMNI, (which I also have never posted in,) I understand why the post count was removed from this forums (posts don't count towards you post count) because that's not what FT's about. And in that sense, I think it makes sense. People shouldn't be joining FT to post in that forum. If you've been a member for a while (which has been decided to be 180 days,) and are generally active (which has been decided to be 180 posts,) then feel free to check out this other area of FT. Until then, get to know FT a bit better (meaning be a member for a bit longer,) and if you're a lurker, add some posts! Once you do, then check out OMNI. Until then, be more active in helping others in the essential forums of FT. I can tell you that I've benefited from people with just 1 post. No reason to say no one's interested in your posts.
Thanks. I like what you had to say. I even understood it.
