Geo: I told our driver (His name is James and he is an old family friend from orange bay, but he gets pissed if you don't call him nadji) to avoid A-1 by going over the mountains, but he says he doesn't like that route at night (when we arrived), and on the way home we wanted to stop in Lucea for market day.

Isle: I brought no red strip home (you can get the pasteurized version in the US now, but it just doesnt taste the same unless you are reclined on a beach). But I did bring home a bunch of appleton estate special dark, a bottle of coconut rum and a four pack of dragon.

I was veeeerry disapointed that most of the beach bars now do not serve dragon. There was a time when red stripe and dragon were the only beers you could get in Western Jamiaca. Then D&G got a license to bottle Heinekin then corona started showing up. It is another sad statement about how things have changed in the last 20 years in Negril.

Every time I asked for dragon on the beach they tried to give me a guniess. To which I would invariably reply: If I wanted a guiness I would go to Ireland.

When I would ask why they didn't serve dragon they would tell me that only Jamaicans drink it. To which I would invariably reply: That's exactly why I want one...
