I wish the Chase/BA Visa had a running total of our spending year-to-date. My Hilton Amex shows me how much I have spent towards Gold status on each statement.

Do they count charges in a calendar year or is it based on statement dates? Anyone figure out the best way to track, in the event you get close to $30K and don't want to over/under spend.
