Sounds like a few of my adventures over the years being an FPC Platinum Member..

Sometimes they just don't get it.. and to this day, late checkout is never smooth..

the keys time out and always have to get it reactivated..

But I can't say I've ever had a cleaning lady doing the room when I haven't checked out.

I think part of the problem is that you checked-in so quickly, the staff probably didn't have enough time to recognize who you were. Sometimes the staff has no clue who is VIP or loyal members.
