OMNI: I went on one cruise to Alaska, which was fabulous except when it come to meals. I as single (without cats at the time) ended up at a table with two married couples, average marriage of 35 yeras, and another frisky elderly couple, both lost their spouses and going on a "pre-honeymoon" cruise.

The couples were very nice, but there were single nurses at one table with some other fun people.

I would suggest when you book a cruise if you are single to ask for the single table. That way you can make new friends (the older couples found it wierd me traveling alone.)
