When there are open seats the pax in bad seats will move to the better ones, they will be sitting next to somebody wherever they go.
Why are you guys so much more entitled to the empty seat that some other passenger?
If the seat is blocked for you... it's your seat. If you want to think egalitarian, head over to WN.
If you asked me to move my stuff, I'd ask for your boarding pass. You could have the window seat.
