Just boarded flight from MSP-BUF. GA announced prior to boarding that if your bag did not fit in the carry on size checker it would be white tagged and claimed at your final destination. When I inquired she said DL instituted the policy yesterday for all flights on CRJ900/700 series aircraft. Gate checks will still be allowed on CRJ200 and Saab flights. She wasn't sure about ERJ flights.

An email from DL would have been nice. A lot of unhappy people in the gate area as they tagged their bags for recovery at baggage claim.

On the flip side, the FAs were taking pre-departure drink orders as you boarded the airplane. . I guess everything in life is a trade off.
