The first class/ OW Emerald side is much smaller, much quieter, and has a reasonable selection of free food. The beverage selection is quite nice, and I believe it is one of the only lounges in the OW system to offer free flowing Evian & Perrier.
I think T4 FL stopped offering Perrier a few years back. I think it's San Pellegrinoo now (I much prefer Perrier, but it seems more and more places only have San Pellegrino).

Will the shuttlebus there take us to TBIT and, if so, do we have to go through security before checking into the QF flight?
Great question! There is an airside shuttle bus from T4 to TBIT, but it is only for QF pax. So, you will be able to use it, but those flying out of TBIT on BA, CX, etc. must walk to TBIT and re-clear security.

But in DFW there is no FL.
