The hotel is now open and I checked in last night. It is a very nice Weston and apparently the first one in South America. It has the typical Westin decor and has a lot of staff around. Occupancy is low as today is official opening day so I expect that to increase as the week goes on.

I got a rate of about $285 and of course internet is free as a SPG Plat. The corner upgraded room is nicely appointed and spacious. It feels a lot like the rooms at the Westin Sydney - quite contemporary yet Westin, as opposed to over the top W.
