You're a better frequent global flyer than I am. Cabotage is the last thing on my radar when I buy a ticket, because I expect that any ticket I'm vended (via any method, be it cash or miles) complies with all relevant treaties, and I'd be pretty ticked to find out that when I arrived at a point of transfer I'm not going to be carried.
