Thumbs down What exactly is served up front on KLM (lunchbox roulette surprise)

I delieberatly did not write what is served in C as I'm a bit confused here as well...

I did a flight from CDG to AMS (KL booking) this Saturday (after 10 am) and was "bumped" up to Premium Economy - or at least that's what the BP read. Basically, we still sat three people in a row on the 737 just in front of the curtain dividing the cabin from Y to C. Anyway, "lunch" came quickly in the new designer box with, 2 small carrots, 3 split sticks of Celery and a halved radish. This was accompanied with a little serving of a cocktail sauce we all vividly remember from the early 80's and a same size yoghurt looking thing.

The menu read:
Salad: Crudités featuring celery, carrots and radish served with cocktail sauce.

Sandwich:
  • Nut bread with Old Amsterdam cheese, OR
  • Multi grain roll with smoked rib eye with better Life Hallmark, Truffle Mayonnaise and Padano Shavings

Dessert: Black chocolate ganache with white chocolate and caramelised nuts.
Now the observant reader may ask: What about the sandwich Well, there was none on offer and no one ever explained that it wouldn't be so either Also, the dessert was obviously NOT the same as on the menu so why bother? I know these flights are not more than 35-40 min on a good day and it just seems silly and stupid to pretend to offer something that doesn't exist. The black cardboard box looked ok but very empty indeed...

PS. Oh yes, my bag didn't make it back to CDG the following day through AMS but that's a different story...
