Not all airline incidents involve crashing head-on into terrain.

You can ditch into the north sea 20 miles from a rescue vessel and I sure would like to have a working life vest when I am floating around in freezing cold water.
Anyone know the survival rate for people ditching into the ocean?

p.s. the lack of concern by cabin staff does worry me. This to avoid any misunderstanding.
