that's my point exactly....plat status or vip status is not given out like candy....if you spend a lot of revenue at a particular property then they will treat you like royalty & give you benefits that would be equal to being a plat, but why should spg offer plat status????similarly if the well connected gm were to try to get you a vip invite then it will only be valid for that property....i believe i have read in ft about property specific vips....they get vip status & perks at that one property only & not for the remaining spg properties....
