I am going to be cheeky and jokey here

Smirnoff, Cyba and I travel this route regularly and prefer to occupy 1D. Having a potentially fractious nipper on board, it would be preferable if they were in row 12

Seriously though, the advice to grab row 12 now is sound, for the reasons given. Have a shower in the lounge and have a good breakfast there, as it is much better than the aircraft offering.

On your way back, I enjoy having a salad from the airport buffet which I take up to the lounge.
