Actually, no, not for most people. Traveling westbound through time zones (USA-Asia) is easier as far as minimizing jet lag, whether traditional TPAC or polar route.
I find I am jet lagged the first next day on east-west trips from the US to Asia, but it takes until the second day to
really feel it when traveling west-east from Asia to the US. As always - YMMV.
