I wish people would stop posting uninformed and incorrect info about E fares. E fares were previously for special free tickets such as from skybonus points etc. Now they are a new revenue bucket meant to align fares between DL and KLM/AF. Unfortunately, Delta has not updated their website with info for the new E fare bucket, and other websites with info about Delta buckets still show the old info about E since they haven't updated either.

There is already info that these are supposed to earn miles and MQM... but until Delta gets around to updating their website to include the E fare on their accrual list, posting that it doesn't earn anything is pure speculation and based off the old meaning of the E bucket.
