Select departure times, yes. But a Silver could otherwise usually get upgraded.
And I'm confused by your harsh tone. It's a fact that prior to the merger Silvers enjoyed high upgrade percentages, whereas post-merger they're not nearly as successful. That despite the consensus on here that many PMDL flyers avoid flying through DTW (usually because they find the ex-NW employees to be substandard vs. their DL couterparts).
