The mention of tight connections and possibly missed flights makes me a bit nervous for my upcoming 100k flights. I am connecting in Madrid Barajas 3 times, well known for it's delays. I hope there is sufficient time built in, but I am worried about a 45 minute connection from an inbound IB Munich flight to my outbound BA London flight.

Since these are all oneworld airlines, will I be able to check-in at Munich for the London BA flight? Will IB be able to handle all that? I'm guessing no. What will be the situation when I connect in Madrid if things are tight? Should I talk to the BA desk in Munich before my IB flight?

Any recommendations to help cover my butt?
