12DF and 1DF are identical bulkhead row seats. The main difference is that 12DF can be assigned now, whereas 1DF is blocked for Emeralds until about 3 days before travel.
However, with an infant I would be tempted to stick with 12DF, as there is more galley movement around row 1, and trolleys constantly moving in and out of the forward galley. The carseat should fit on the floor area at either bulkhead.
Rows 2-9 in the forward cabin are all much of a muchness, with very limited recline, and limited floorspace. I would expect the CE cabin to extend back to row 14/15, so keep an eye on the seat map.
