When you said to avoid CP984 if I could, I had no idea that the situation would be as bad as it was. Never again will I do that flight on a monday morning!

From further calls to CP prior to my return flight, it seems that the agent waitlisted my upgrade in the same way that they waitlist point redemption for Gold/Exec Plats. They sent off a request to a computer in Dallas, and it came back "unable to confirm! I think the agent was just pushing the rules here.

I too find the CPA320 seats to be a joke in J class. You can hardly get up out of your seat when you are in the window. Last January, I was on a YVR-YYZ in an A320 on CP in business. My traytable was broken off, and the entire flight was full (during the Toronto snowstorms). I ended up balancing the food on my lap!!!!!!!!!! It was quite the scene. The gentleman next to me and I spent the entire flight badmouthing CP!

The breakfast in Y class was served in aluminum tray that is just thrown in the garbage after the flight. It was a bun, and scrambled eggs with a piece of ham (Spam?) and some small piece of what seemed to be potatoes! I was not at all impressed!
