Is it fair to say that all the hotels near JFK are pretty poor? Am looking at a schedule that would mean landing at JFK early afternoon, heading out before 9am the next day.

With kids in tow, I'd rather have a nice room in a nice hotel with a nice pool next to the airport but so far that combination seems somewhat difficult to find...

(Heading into Manhattan doesn't really appeal tbh...)
