Arriving into Shanghai in the wee hours of the morning and leaving the same evening - rather than wait around at the airport for 12+ hours, we wanted to do a day sightseeing tour.

Would fellow FTers have a recommendation for a reliable day tour operator in Shanghai who could pick us at the airport, take us around for the day and drop us back in the afternoon for or flight onwards?

Secondly, as mentioned in other threads, we understand that we need to clear immigration, customs, baggage before we hop on to our connecting flight. Will Air China allow us to check in, early in the morning for a flight towards the end of the day and most importantly, will they accept our luggage too (which will probably be tagged to our final destination at our flight origin)?
