If you are a LGW regular, you may be interested to note that BA trade web sites are reporting changes to some flight numbers at LGW.

BA continues to reorganise flight numbers on a range of LGW services, the work will be carried out on Thursday, 12th May 2011

It is really important to note that these flights have not been cancelled, it is the same flight time just with a new flight number.

Customers on affected services will receive a cancellation notice and will have been rebooked onto a new flight number at the same time
This flight is the SAME operating flight, it will just have a different BA flight number
There are no actual changes to the schedule so no customer guidelines apply


Mainly old CF flight numbers in 8000 range moving to 2000 range, e.g. BA 8111LGW-AMS to become BA 2758.

Although it references a May 2011 date, it looks like changes take effect from the Winter 2011 timetable.
