Any thoughts if Excelsior would be a good place to stay for New Year's Eve? We will be driving down from Rome to the Amalfi Coast in late December. Was thinking of 2 nights/1 day in Naples before moving on a few nights in Sorrento or Positano. One of those nights happens to be NYE.
Was reading that Naples has a pretty large NYE fireworks display (at least one of the larger ones in Italy since that is not the tradition everywhere). Does anyone know about this hotel's location relative to having a good view at midnight?
