LHR to LCA with 5 month old
Newbie here. My 6’ 5” tall husband and I are travelling with our 5 month old baby on the Larnaca flight on May 21st/June 3rd (connecting from a red-eye AA flight from the US). She’s travelling as an infant in our arms. When booking we got a pretty good offer to upgrade to CE and we did (mostly hoping for extra legroom for the husband). Now after researching a bit I am wondering if bulkhead seats in coach would have been better or not.
I understand there are no carrycots on the flight and BA does not allow rear facing infant seats in spare seats like US airlines. Rows 1-3 seem to be blocked off for airport use or preassigned to BA elite members. We have been assigned the two middle seats in row 7. I understand in CE there is some sort of middle seat between our seats that stays empty.
My question is what are the best seats to ask for given our situation? Also we never travelled in CE class before (always just asked for exit row/bulkhead seats in coach) and haven’t experienced the fast track security lines or access to BA lounges. How do we best take advantage of the fast track lines when connecting from another flight/terminal? Which lounge would we have access to? Mainly looking for a comfy place to nurse the little one and have some breakfast ourselves.
The baby has been on a much shorter flight before without any crying (I was nursing her during takeoff/landing) and I am hoping to replicate that experience (fingers crossed).
Any info will be very much appreciated!
