The 0235 YVR flight (CX889) is operated by a 777, whereas the SFO flight is operated by a 747. Most people, myself included, prefer the more intimate 747 F cabin in the nose over the 777 cabin, which has notably more crew traffic up and down the aisles. However, your preferences may differ. That's the only conceivable difference between the two flights.
