The Twelve Apostles is not that far from everything measured in miles or minutes - probably about 10 kilometres and 15 minutes from the Waterfront. (Or you could take a helicopter, I believe!) But it is completely isolated as it sits alone away from any built up areas. Consequently it feels remote and suits folk who want to feel they are away from it all. Great for sunset drinks on the patio with the wild ocean and cormorant-covered rocks in front. I have eaten at their restaurant twice recently and been very impressed although the "sumptuous" décor does pall after 2 visits.

The Radisson is a stone's throw away from the Waterfront but has a wonderful, seaside location so you don't feel you are being mobbed all the time. Great for leisurely breakfasts al fresco and easy access to just about everything. I think it would be a good choice for first time visitors.

I can't comment on the rooms at either property, I'm afraid.
