I've always just rebooked it at the lower rate - but have wondered if I could file an LNF claim for an existing reservation if the lower price is found right on the Marriott site?
If the lower rate appears on Marriott.com within 24 hours of your original booking then you may submit a claim and it should be approved (assuming all other T&C of the LNF program are met). However, if the lower rate appears more than 24 hours after your original booking, then your claim will be denied.
