phil, there was some discussion about this. On it's manifests (and on boarding receipts until recently) Silver Medallion members (or plain old Medallion members as they were until recently) were designated with an FO, and according to some reliable sources, the FO stood for Flying Orchid, which was previously some level or other in Delta (allegedly).
