AirNZ is not lying. They are not saying they are charged a set fee by the credit card company, they are saying there is a cost incurred by them for selling fares to people who use credit cards, and they have decided to recover some of the costs by charging a set fee.
So on a $39 fare they are charged 8.9% - don't think so.
If they only recovering costs then would be a % charge not fixed, esp on domestic fares.
They are misleading the public.
If not they will tell us the charges and stop pushing people to use CC that earn AP, esp as they discourage their use.
