I don't know why they would want to go to a blue carpet. You won't be able to distinguish it from most of the blue airport carpet anyway.
UA is in heavy money save mode. I think we should appreciate any type of carpet, even if it's pink or a retired US Airways carpet; they could just get rid of carpets and "1K" signs all together, and just sort of have us figure it out ourselves
