It is certainly reasonable to assume you can request that Delta gives you a special meal, though frankly, I think special meals should cost more.... but it is also reasonable to assume that Delta should get my bags to the same airport at the same time as me.... we know how that works out...
Pay more? So you suggest unbundling premium fare tickets? If paying a business or first class fare, there is no reason one should have to pay more to accomodate a request for a meal that costs a total of what, $5?
