1K RCC member flew out of BKK on the 11 May in UAL C at 06:05. Was invited by UAL at check in to the Louis Tavern lounge in the E concourse which invitation I accepted. Compared to the Thai Lounge it is not much. Small, food selection light and there is no expresso machine just brewed coffee and a Nescafe machine. Apparently, Delta uses it too for their morning flight. Remarked negatively and on the fly to the people at the gate on this. One who looked to be senior and serious said it was due to the too late opening hour of the Thai lounge. On two previous trips I was able to use the larger and more generous Thai lounge to grab a better snack before boarding. Seems like it was closer to the gate as well. Has there been a schedule change that necessitated this change I, for one, do not like?
