The Union Station Marriott has its own set of poor reviews on TripAdvisor.
My trip, which occasioned my original post above, ended up being cancelled. And I did refer to the Union Station's tripadvisor reviews in my post. And you're right that the Marriott also had some negative reviews. But, almost never have I seen negative reviews (of a Marriott brand) of the scope and character of the Ren's reviews. I had chosen the Marriott, not necessarily based on anything good I read about the Marriott, but based on the almost angry rhetoric in so many of the Ren's reviews. Unlike your stay, however, mine was going to be Sunday-Thursday, on business. Good luck and, if you get a chance, after your stay, drop a note here as to which property you chose, and how the stay went.
