I use to travel for work and bring a lot of computer stuff in carry-on but, it was many years ago, pre 911.

This summer I will be flying from Charlotte NC to Dallas Texas for Quakecon. This is a gaming event/conference. I need to bring a computer with me to use while I'm there. I'm flying with a friend so we will need two computers.

Here is my plan, Let me know if I' nuts,

I'm going to setup two sff computers that are small enough to fit both of them into one carry-on. I will also bring two 21.5" monitors in the second carry-on.

I'm considering the pelicon 1510 but due to its hefty side walls it looses a bit of interior space requiring smaller monitors.

So with this configuration, I will have one carry-on with me plus a small laptop bag. My friend will take the second carry-on with him and also a small laptop bag.

Will we have any trouble going through security with this stuff?

The bag I listed is also right on the edge of the limits, if it is slightly bigger in any dimension due to a handle etc.. will that be a problem?
