And I'm surprised, because - like other, well-established posters in this thread - I have always had the 'over-the-phone charges' waived whenever I've been unable to book a ticket online with AF or KL - whether that was because of website failure (such a rare event

) or other complications (such as using a discount voucher

).
But I saltue your unwillingness to send a nasty message to, or concerning, the AF agent(s)! ^^^ Hopefully, your characteristic chivalry and legendary decency will be rewarded: AF will send you a 15 Euro Travel Discount Certificate ... but then, of course, you'll be charged 15 Euros by the phone agent when you eventually book your ticket with it!
