This is a very important question. If you are using third-party (travelocity, expedia, hotel.com, etc) to book your rooms, you won't get stay or night credit. If you are using blind bids, you also do NOT get any credit.
Only stays booked via Hilton family booking sites or certain corporate travel agents count towards status.
