Per the above, my current situation is no good. I have two business cards of different flavors so I'm not going to get MQMs for one of them. I'll convert the Plat to a Reserve and get my wife's name affiliated with it and then get us each personal Reserve Cards. This way we'll have 4 reserve cards and after I transfer her MQMs to my SM account, I'll get 120,000 mqm each year (with the $240,000 of spend) - basically DM status for less than $2K ($450 per card times 4). Then I'll use my SM to buy most of my tickets (in Y) and get the UG most of the time.

Looks good and yes to the above. Things to keep in mind. You must before YEAR END each year do the transfer yourself from wife to you here:

Pick the personal and then the biz once you reach each level of spend.
Also, when it comes to the fee's each each, call and ask for the retention department. Tell them between you and your wife you have 4 and love the cards. Tell them how much you spend. Do this for each card each year. You may not get a lower fee but I get 5-20k each year extra skymiles each year for the time on the phone.
