also, is there typically a dress code out and about in the hotel / at breakfast?

thanks again
I am around that age range, and when I walked into the hotel, wearing a NorthFace jacket, jeans, and a t-shirt, I was treated very well. FD Manager even walked me to my room, explained what everything was, told me about the local area, and made general chit-chat. Overall, I would not worry. I did not have breakfast downstairs, so I am unable to comment on that question.

FYI: I was staying on points, and don't know too much French...
