I know someone who was in a commuter marriage for a while where both the husband and wife flew on the husband's name so all miles were earned in his account. It was also possible to sell nonrefundable tickets that for some reason you could no longer use.

It's kind of possible one way, at least for same sex couples, since they might question a guy boarding as Jane. After all, boarding the plane does require matching ID to boarding pass.
