If you are ending up in Arhus and still debating flights/layovers, I suggest also looking BLL as it will save you a couple of hours drive time/train time as well as the tolls for the bridge if driving. My in laws live outside Arhus and Billund now has a more direct route toward the highway by Horsens. About an hour ride to Arhus.

While AF does fly CDG-BLL, I don't believe it is a DL code share so it doesn't come up on DL.com. That said, we use to fly it years ago as an award ticket.

As such, if you look to book BLL, plan to fly via AMS (which IMHO is a way better connecting airport than CDG).

Lastly, I love the departure lounge at BLL - really a great airport.

To your question, 1.5 hours is plenty as long as the flight is on time
