ORD-SFO-ORD
After months and months of AA Super 80s (super in who's mind?) from ORD to DEN, I was off for a (work) weekend in SFO. When I booked my flt on AA.COM (1000 extra miles) the 'puter assigned met to seat in row 8. I look at the seat map, and it is a BC seat and a coach fare. (767 I think.) Great deal. I assume that these seats are saved for Platinum and Gold members. So, I had a transatlantic quality BC seat with coach service--and no upgrade required. All in all, it was a fine ride.
My flight home was on a Super 80. One of my fellow passengers (who flys the route all the time for the weekend) warned me that the flight home would be packed. So, I called and upgraded. And let me tell you, the BC on the 767 was 10x better than the FC on the super 80.
And Catman, I agree with you on Supershuttle. They run the operations like they are doing us a favor. I was lucky I was the first hotel stop, or I might still be on the bluebus.
