A DO is an event on Flyertalk, that some would say, has a minimum of 12 people.

Speaking of cost to participate. The BRT (Brooklyn Reality Tour) has always tried to keep expenses low to be more inclusive. One of my first local dinners turned out to be an expensive affair, but one that I was prepared for. While cost isn't a concern for many, it's also a concern for many.

Some Flyertalkers cash in their miles and points to attend. Others pay hard cash. When you start adding other cost, the event can add up.

The best part of one of these DO's/gatherings/events is getting to meet like minded people that have a few things in common.

I've organized 'affordable' and 'expensive' events. There's always something for everyone on Flyertalk.
