NY Hilton Hotel and Towers
FIRST: If you don't know already the hotel is undergong a major renovation so be prepared for things to be out of place.
29 May: I'm staying here becuase I am on short turnaround and my dear company wanted me to get some rest to come early the next morning. I walk through the back entrance expecting to dash straight to HHonors check-in only to encounter a wall. I find Registration has been moved to the other side of the main floor.
The giant lobby has been cut in a third by this big wall. I assume they are renovating the lobby.
There are TWO HHonors check-in counters and I'm checked in about two minutes later. Very and SSSOOO disappointed that I can't earn double dip because I'm booked at a discount rate. The check-in woman says "Many a business people have complained" and I said to add me to the list, adding "All I care about is getting my points!"
Room on the 25th floor, a newly renovated room. New furniture, a press release announcing "The century is not the only thing changing" with plans for the NEW NEW YORK HILTON. Room had curtains and drapes and Neutrogena toiletries.
OK GUYS< I'll fess up, I took the little bottle of Netrogena bubble bath for later use)
OMNI: after a quick dinner I must have been burned because I forgot my room number and went to two different rooms, Finally tried the 25th floor and my room where all I care about is the bed. It's a king but with foam, NO DOWN pillows. I struggle to fall asleep and in about 45 secs earning serious frequent sleeping and double snoring poitns.
Find out upon getting bill that I am charged 75 cents for using my prepaid phone card. I hate the hotels sticking to use for phone usage!
5:30 am checkout because due at work at 6a.
Can't use zip out checkout so wait about five minutes to check out downstairs. Noted to desk person that Hilton needs to post they are charging for ALl phone calls.
So overall: two and a half paws.
