I called the AF reservations as per the number on the back of my FB Gold and got through pretty quickly. The web site had been down since I tried to
log in at 18:00 as I had an unpaid ticket waiting to be paid for which ran out at 19:00.
So far so good.
I was then quoted a price well above what I had been quoted per mail 23 hours earlier, but got it down to the normal price as per the quote. So I could not go online and pay for the ticket as the web site was down and was then asked to pay EUR 15 extra for them to take my credit card number and send me a confirmation mail. This is daylight robbery!!!

So this means that AF made EUR 10 for the time to think + EUR 15 admin fee = EUR 25 for nothing
I didn't have a choice other than to accept the extra EUR 15 cost as the time had then turned 18:40 and I just couldn't take a chance of being held up in the internet queue phone line waiting for some one to answer my call thus losing my ticket and forking out EUR 250 extra for the same flight.
I'm sending a complaint, but who should I direct this to?
Btw, the internet reservation number (given by the AF rep) is:
+33 (0) 9 69 39 02 15
in case anyone else needs it, but don't leave it to the last second!
