If for SFO-HKG, there is a very good chance that a DM with BN1 cannot get it with Y0. That happened before. People can do instant upgrades or use upgrade vouchers.

I also think that ID passengers can get upgraded before DM. Sometimes the captain will release the crew seat to a CX staff or a staff family member.
